Au Revoir! I am Cognizant No More!

Hi All,

It is time to finally say “”Farewell” to all those near and dear in the last four years of my life at Cognizant, of which today is the very last!
A journey from Academy, through Lexis Nexis, American Express and finally John Lewis Partnership and Waitrose ends here.
“It’s impossible” said pride, “It’s risky” said experience, “It’s pointless” said reason, “Give it a try” whispered the heart. J
As am moving to another company as a French Language Specialist, in pursuit of happyness, I am here to bid my final Adieu.

Academy (Apr 26, 2010 - Aug 12,2010)

Days when https://mail.cognizant.com was a vital means for exchanging code and ensuring you have a copy that gives the right output with “javac filename.java” J Dumps were the heart and soul of clearing the Module Tests and Dovetails. We spent more of our brains trying to hide away the dumps rather than remembering the answers: P …. Thanks to Sumera and OAT for being available for me to lament when lament, we had to, and to laugh at for no reason at all.. J

Team Lexis Nexis (Aug 13, 2010 - Apr 6, 2012)

My regards to Ravi, Radhika, Anbu, Indu and Rashmika for the support and encouragement and helping me sail though some of the toughest tides in my Cognizant ocean (As far as career goes). The ShareCOM sessions, team outings, potlucks and birthday celebrations, the prompt cake cuttings, cream facial, birthday performances, signature campaign on greeting cards!!!
Indu used to get our birthday gifts and wait for us to unwrap it, just to see the expression on our facesJ Wow!! What a talent it truly is to gift someone exactly knowing their tastes!
A perfect organization of team outings for a group of 40 is no simple joke – confirmed after taking part in a few disastrous ones. You simply rocked LN!!! The very feel I get when I walk into LN, the feel of being “back home again” is simply indescribable. Missing all of it! A part of my happiness still lies in there. The friendship and unity - the magic that was Lexis Nexis, can never ever be recreated.

Team Amex (May 17, 2012 - October 31, 2013)

Thanks to Hari, Ramesh, Sai, Kumudam, Sendhil, Mathangi, Prasanna, Sunith, Vidhya and Anil for motivating me to chase my one big dream and for looking into my world through my eyes! This was one place that taught me responsibility, ownership, leadership and the concrete difference between friendship and professionalism. Today, I am confident enough to face any variety of escalation- thanks to Amex ;). From being a lone French specialist in an IT world, I learnt to take pride in my uniqueness. This was one place where I found people who were just as crazy about a foreign language as I was.
The fortnightly team lunches were a big highlight. We never missed a single hotel in and around TCO (in spite of all the untimely status calls, bizarre schedules of implementations which used to unpredictably get postponed and of course the work load J )
Friends, who could be like a family, made all the difference.

Team JLP (Dec 9th, 2013- April 1st, 2014)

Though I have been here for a short while, it has been a very friendly team with all the mockery and fun. The team mingled very well. When you are new to a bay of 40 people, how often do you find many smiling at you, talking to you and making you feel comfortable at the very first instance?? This was one such place.. It resembled LN in a lot many aspects and I enjoyed it a lot...
Looking back, indeed, I feel very lucky to have been among very friendly teams all through my days here.
Proud to be Cognizant!!

Thanks all for having been an integral part of this incredible adventure.

Wishing you all the very best in all your future endeavors and

Signing off for one last time, this is …
