A Woman's Work is Never Done (Avon Calling! #1)
A Woman's Work is Never Done by Hayley Camille
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Shelf Misfit:
I got a free copy of this book at Instafreebie, in exchange for an honest review. Having been categorized under Thriller > Crime, I expected Thriller / Crime, and I got it. What I did not sign up for was "Rajinikanth style fantasy".
The protagonist, Betty (with copious application of re lipstick), resembles the "Chandramukhi" Rajini who can read others minds. She is behind a group of guys who are transporting drugs. Thug! Chud! Hit! in any direction, every direction - again typically Rajini....
A little flashback follows, and then, all of a sudden, its not just the first chapter that gets over, but the entire book itself!!
For a moment, I thought the author had given this single chapter for free-reading, to inspire the readers to purchase the complete book. However I was disinclined to do it.
Only on further browsing did I actually realize that the entire book comprised of just a single chapter!!
